We are Matteo, David, and Nicolò. Three friends, three different stories, a deep connection to the mountains.
In 2020, after a long hike in Val Cimoliana, we sat in silence on a rock. Before us, the majesty of the Friulian Dolomites, around us the quiet of a place that seemed forgotten by time... and by people.
It was at that moment that something changed. We understood that beauty isn't enough. That it's not enough to admire: we need to give back.
This is where Dolomist was born.
A project, yes, but above all a gesture. A way to say thank you to the mountains, and to take care of them.
Because the mountains aren't just a backdrop to our endeavors, but a teacher. A companion. Something that enters you, changes you.
We decided to start with what we knew how to do: using technology to create connections.
Not just digital connections—or at least, not just digital ones. Deep, human connections between those who love nature and those who experience it every day.
With Dolomist, we wanted to build a platform that could promote authentic experiences , led by real people, in places where nature still reigns supreme. A place where sustainability isn't just a slogan, but a shared responsibility.
But Dolomist is not just our project.
It's yours.
Of those who believed in it from day one.
Of those who put on their hiking boots to join a hike.
Of those who shared a night in a refuge, a dinner, a sincere conversation under the stars.
Over the years we have grown thanks to you.
You brought friends, children, colleagues with you. You wrote to us, advised us, supported us.
That small initial group grew into a community, and with it, our vision grew.
A vision where sustainability is concrete. It means a guide can live off their work without having to sell out .
That a refugee can open the doors to his own world without having to make a spectacle of it.
That a territory can be reborn, slowly, thanks to experiences designed with respect and coherence.
We have learned a lot over the years.
We've made mistakes. We've changed course. We've faced difficult times.
But like in the mountains, every step, even the most tiring, brings you closer to the summit.
And today, as we prepare for a new season, we feel the need to tell you something simple, but fundamental: thank you .
Thanks to those who climbed an unknown path with us.
To those who believed that business could be done ethically.
For those who have chosen a Dolomist experience even just to try something different.
The future of Dolomist is on the way.
We want to take you even further, in an even more conscious way.
We want to explore new Alpine regions, collaborate with local entities, and continue to build something that lasts.
But we want to do it with you, together , as we have always done.
Because this isn't just our story.
It's our shared summit.
