What is done?
Each experience is designed to reconnect with nature and make new friends. Here's what we'll do in this one:
-
Guided Trekking
We will travel wild and little-traveled paths for four days, accompanied by an expert guide who will reveal the secrets of the Friulian Dolomites. We will cross hidden valleys and majestic passes, touching the groups of Pramaggiore, Monfalconi, Spalti di Toro and Cridola. Each day will be a journey between dolomite walls that are colored at dawn and fiery sunsets that close our efforts. We will walk immersed in a regenerating silence, far from mass tourism, rediscovering the value of sharing and an authentic contact with the mountain.
-
3 nights in a refuge with half board
Every evening we will be welcomed by authentic refuges that preserve the flavor of the mountains of the past. Between the warmth of wood and the scents of Friulian cuisine, we will enjoy simple and genuine dishes, with a conviviality that warms the heart after a long day of walking. We will toast to the day just lived under starry skies and awaken the senses in the morning with the aroma of coffee and a breakfast that will give us the energy to face new horizons. Here luxury is simplicity, the essential that smells of home.
-
Masterclass discovering Nature
During the walk, the guide will lead us in an immersive masterclass to learn to read the mountain in every detail. We will recognize the tracks of animals, the alpine blooms that resist the wind and the lichens that color the rock. We will learn to orient ourselves with nature, to read the weather, to manage resources during a trek and to leave a light mark on the territory. Through moments of deep listening, we will let ourselves be guided by the sounds of nature, rediscovering the harmony that comes from walking in silence and awareness.

Day 1
On the trail of the gentian: from the Giaf Refuge to the Flaiban-Pacherini Refuge
+ 1350m | - 820m | 6h30 | 11km
Our journey will begin at the Giaf Refuge, nestled in the quiet woods above Forni di Sopra. From here, we'll hike along the enchanting Truoi dai Sclops, the Sentiero delle Genzianelle (Gentianelle Trail), which will lead us through fairytale landscapes: we'll reach the Forcella Urtisiel pass, cross the vast Valmenon plateau, and be captivated by the colors and scents of the Campuros alpine meadows, a true summer paradise.
We'll continue past the Forcella Brica and the evocative Forcella dell'Inferno ridges, gently descending into the upper Val di Suola, lulled only by the sounds of the wilderness. At the end of the day, the Rifugio Flaiban-Pacherini will welcome us, surrounded by imposing spires and profound silence.
We'll stop for a packed lunch along the way. In the evening, we'll share dinner and an overnight stay at the refuge.
Day 2
Between valleys and drop-offs: towards the Pordenone Refuge
+ 500m | - 880m | 3h30 | 7.8 km
After breakfast, we'll pick up our packed lunches and set off for the Suola Pass. From there, we'll push on, crossing the Forcella Rua Alta and Forcella Pramaggiore passes, immersed in a landscape alternating between wide vistas and narrow valleys.
We'll then continue through the verdant Val dell'Inferno—which, despite its name, reveals only beauty—until we reach the lush Val Postegae. At the end of the day, we'll find refreshments at the Rifugio Pordenone, nestled in a landscape of extraordinary harmony between rock and woodland.
Packed lunch along the way, dinner and overnight stay at the refuge.
Day 3
Encountering the Giant: Towards the Campanile di Val Montanaia and the Rifugio Padova
+ 1060m | - 1000m | 5h00 | 7.3km
After breakfast, with our packed lunches in our backpacks, we'll begin our adventure toward the legendary Val Montanaia. We'll soon find ourselves at the foot of the Campanile di Val Montanaia, an imposing monolith that rises like a stone scream, leaving us breathless in its majesty.
We will cross the Forcella Montanaia (or, alternatively, the easier Forcella Segnata) and begin the descent through landscapes sculpted by time, until we reach the Rifugio Padova, nestled between the rugged peaks of Spalti di Toro and Cridola.
Packed lunch along the way, convivial dinner and overnight stay at the refuge.
Day 4
In the heart of Monfalconi: the return to the Giaf Refuge
+ 760m | - 630m | 3h45 | 6 km
After a final breakfast at the refuge, with a packed lunch in our backpacks, we'll begin an unforgettable trek into the wild heart of the Monfalconi mountains. We'll ascend the Forcella Monfalcon di Forni pass, dominated by the austere walls that guard the solitary Marchi-Granzotto bivouac, a silent sentinel in a timeless rocky amphitheater. We'll then cross the Forcella del Cason pass to return to the Giaf refuge, where our adventure will conclude, leaving us with unforgettable views and memories that will stay with us for a long time.
For those seeking an easier return, we can ascend to the Forcella Scodavacca and finish the route on easier trails. And for the more experienced, the final challenge will be the ascent to the Tacca del Cridola and, for those who want to push further, up to the Cridola mountain summit.
We will return independently, with the most precious baggage: that of memories.
