What is done?

Each experience is designed to reconnect with nature and make new friends. Here's what we'll do in this one:

  • 🧗🏻 2 days of Icefalls

We will spend two days immersed in the magic of ice falls, a crystalline and fascinating world. Claudio, Aspiring Alpine Guide, will guide us to discover the techniques of progression on ice, showing us how to safely tackle this unique environment. Armed with crampons and ice axes, we will learn to climb icy walls and read the safest climbing lines. It will be an experience that will test our body and mind, giving us moments of pure connection with the wildest winter nature.

  • 🎒 Masterclass on cascade progression techniques

Knowing ice means understanding every facet of it. During this masterclass, we will explore the techniques of progression on ice, learning to move with safety and precision. Thanks to practical sessions and moments of discussion, we will live an educational and immersive experience, with the opportunity to refine our technical skills and develop greater awareness in tackling the mountains in winter. A unique opportunity to grow as mountaineers and nature lovers.

  • 🏠 Night in a refuge with typical dinner and packed lunch

After an intense day, we will take refuge in a welcoming Alpine hut, where the warmth of the fire and traditional dishes will make us feel at home. A dinner full of local flavors and an energetic breakfast await us, perfect for facing the challenges of the next day. During the excursions, we will enjoy a packed lunch surrounded by the majesty of the Dolomites, letting ourselves be inspired by the beauty of a landscape unique in the world. A break that nourishes body and soul.

Discover the program.

Day 1

Once we arrive at the location, we will organize ourselves with the distribution of materials and discover all the secrets of the essential tools for ice climbing: ice axes, crampons and ice screws. We will immediately get our hands dirty (or rather, on the ice!) on a simple wall, learning how to move correctly and safely. We will explore fundamental techniques, such as protection, belays and the descent on Abalakov, making the day a perfect mix of theory and practice. The evening will be dedicated to chatting about waterfalls and warming up with stories and ideas for the future!

Day 2

We will start with a practical review of what we have learned, resolving doubts and refining the technique. Then it will be the highlight: we will tackle a multi-pitch ice route, putting everything into practice, from progression techniques to double rope descent. Once we return to the valley, we will give ourselves a celebratory toast, celebrating the feat and already dreaming of the next winter adventures!
