What is done?

Each experience is designed to reconnect with nature and make new friends. Here's what we'll do in this one:

  • 2-day MADE Trek with half board at Malga Pramosio

We'll hike through pastures, woods, and scenic ridges along one of the most picturesque stretches of the MADE Trek. Every step will bring us closer to the slow pace of the mountains, until we reach Malga Pramosio, where we'll be welcomed with warmth, authentic flavors, and breathtaking views. We'll share stories, enjoy silence, and dine under the stars, before sleeping immersed in the Alpine tranquility. It will be a simple yet profound trek, where we'll rediscover the essence of walking: moving, meeting, listening.

  • 2 Days of Alpine Sustainability with Riccardo – From Roots to Leaves

We'll spend two days with Riccardo, a forestry doctor and educator, exploring the mountains with new eyes. He'll guide us through larches, firs, and medicinal plants, sharing the secrets of alpine ecology. We'll learn to read the landscape, recognize wildlife, and reflect on our impact on the environment. Through walks and shared experiences, we'll cultivate a profound ecological awareness, rediscovering the invisible bond that unites us to every root, leaf, and breath of the forest.

  • Normal & No Trace Program – a new step for the mountains

During the experience, we'll reflect on how we can walk in nature while leaving as few traces as possible. Thanks to NNormal's support, we'll discover the value of caring for the gear we already own, prolonging its life to reduce waste and environmental impact. Together, we'll explore the No Trace Program: an invitation to repair rather than throw away, to use consciously, to walk lightly and responsibly. Because every shoe has a story to honor, and every step can be a gesture of respect.

Day 1

From Casera Lavareit to Malga Pramosio – walking through mountain huts, woods, and hidden views

9.5 km | +700 m | 4.5 hours

We'll start from Casera Lavareit, at an altitude of 1,470 meters, following a quiet dirt road that will lead us to the mountain hut. Shortly after, we'll intersect with CAI trail 155 and turn left, beginning a gentle descent towards the grassy shoulder of Faas, dotted with ancient wooden huts and chalets.

We'll traverse these bucolic landscapes until we enter the forest, where a steep path will lead us to Timau, at 820 meters. Here, in the heart of the village, we'll take the CAI 402 trail, which climbs steeply through fir and larch trees, leading us step by step to the Agriturismo Malga Pramosio, at 1,521 meters.

We'll end the day at this splendid high-altitude mountain hut, where we'll enjoy traditional Alpine cuisine and spend the night under a starry sky, far away from everything, immersed only in the magic of the mountains.

Day 2

Along the Carnischer Höhenweg – between Italy and Austria, up to Cason di Lanza

21.7 km | +1,000 m | 6:30

After a hearty breakfast at Malga Pramosio, we'll set off again at a steady pace, following the CAI 402 trail. We'll climb along a narrow, partly paved road that will take us to the Pramosio Pass, at an altitude of 1,800 m, where we'll cross the border into Austria.

We'll then follow trail 403 of the Karnischer Höhenweg: one of the most scenic high routes in the Alps, where the boundaries blur between grassy ridges, glacial lakes, and still-active mountain huts. We'll reach the Obere Bischof Alm, Zollner See lake, and cut across the northern slope of Monte Lodin.

We'll cross wide saddles, pass the Straniger Alm, and head toward the Meledis Pass, before turning off toward the Kleinkordinalm. At a ridge, we'll rejoin trail 403 to Sella Cordin (1,749 m), where we'll re-enter Italy.

We'll descend to Casera Cordin Grande and follow CAI trail 451, which, through hillside sections and steep descents, will lead us to the paved road of the Cason di Lanza Pass. We'll conclude the experience at the Casera Cason di Lanza Agriturismo (1,552 m), where a delicious refreshment awaits us and a transfer back to the starting point.

It will be a total immersion in the Carnic Alps, between borders, Alpine culture and infinite horizons.
