What is done?

Each experience is designed to reconnect with nature and make new friends. Here's what we'll do in this one:

  • Guided tour in the Friulian Dolomites

We will venture along the Altavia di Forni, a wild path that crosses the Friulian Dolomites, far from the beaten track. We will follow the rhythm of nature, among silent woods, high-altitude pastures and spectacular peaks. Each step will take us deeper into an authentic landscape, where time seems to have stopped. Without group constraints, we will be free to experience the mountain in our own way, listening to the wind among the rocks and the beat of our heart in tune with nature.

  • 3 nights in a refuge with half board

Every evening we will be welcomed by mountain refuges immersed in uncontaminated beauty: Casera Tartoi, Rifugio Giaf and Rifugio Pacherini. After long days of walking, we will enjoy warm and genuine dishes, sharing stories with other hikers in front of a lit fireplace. The silence of the night at high altitude will envelop us, while the stars will illuminate the clear sky above us. When we wake up, an invigorating breakfast will prepare us for a new day of discovery in the mountains.

  • Masterclass: Discover the wildest Dolomites

The Friulian Dolomites are a corner of the world that is still intact, far from mass tourism. During our journey, we will learn to read the landscape with different eyes, recognizing the signs left by time and the elements. We will observe the Alpine flora and fauna up close, discovering the perfect harmony of a wild ecosystem. This experience will teach us not only to walk in nature, but to feel it, respect it and live it in all its essence. It will be a journey into remote landscapes, but also into ourselves.

Discover the program.

Day 1

Towards Casera Tartoi: the adventure begins

We will begin our trek by climbing the woods of the Carnic side, among muffled sounds and lights filtered by the foliage. We will cross the tabià of Stabie and move along the Rio Purone, gradually climbing towards an increasingly open landscape. The climb will lead us to the splendid balcony of Casera Lavazeit, from which we will be able to admire our journey from above.

We will pass by Malga Varmost and, crossing fragrant pastures and deep silences, we will finally reach Casera Tartoi, nestled in a natural amphitheater at the foot of Mount Tiarfin. It will be the perfect place to begin our journey into the wild heart of the Friulian Dolomites: we will share the first sunset and a night surrounded by the quiet of the mountain.

Day 2

Towards the Giaf Refuge along the Truoi dai Sclops

We will wake up at dawn among the pastures and set off again towards the Giaf Refuge following the famous Truoi dai Sclops, the “path of the gentians”. This day will give us some of the most suggestive views of the trek: we will cross three forks, among spectacular screes, vertical walls and the Camporosso prairie, where the mountain becomes poetry.

Halfway through the route we will stop for a break at Casera Valmenon, a welcoming mountain hut that is still active, perfect for a genuine refreshment. We will walk along the route that every year hosts the Sky-Race of the Friulian Dolomites, breathing in the authentic and sporty soul of these mountains. In the evening we will reach the Rifugio Giaf, where they will welcome us with good food, crackling wood and stories under the stars.

Day 3

Towards the Flaiban-Pacherini Refuge: between peaks, valleys and silence

We will set off again towards Val Rovadia, where nature shows itself in its most rugged and fascinating form. We will climb through shady woods, hidden waterfalls and wide screes, until we reach the suspended meadows below Passo di Suola, where we will be able to spot ibex balancing on the walls of Pramaggiore.

At a steady pace we will cross increasingly wild environments, immersed in the pulsating heart of the Friulian Dolomites Natural Park. If we still have energy, we can climb in half an hour to the Cima del Rifugio, from which a breathtaking view opens up over the entire route. We will spend the night at the Rifugio Flaiban-Pacherini, pampered by the hospitality of those who truly know these lands.

Day 4

Return to the valley and farewell to the mountain

We will wake up with the light filtering between the peaks and, after breakfast, we will begin the descent towards the valley. We will retrace with our gaze the paths faced in the previous days, taking with us the emotions carved in the rock, the encounters in the refuges, and the magic of having experienced the Friulian Dolomites slowly, step by step.

We will end the adventure with a full heart and a slightly richer backpack, ready to tell this experience to those who, perhaps, one day want to live it with us.
