🤩 What are we doing?

A walk that can be simple or intermediate depending on the points you want to touch, the length of the route and your level of training. You can also start from Passo Giau following path 452 towards Rifugio Averau. The route shown here instead starts from Rifugio Fedare, following path 464 to Rifugio Averau. From here you can choose whether to climb towards Rifugio Nuvolau (path 452). It is definitely worth it, for one of the best views in the entire panorama of the Dolomites. Next step towards Rifugio Scoiattoli (path 439) to admire the nearby Cinque Torri. Return along the same route, or as shown here, via path 443: it is not a football formation, but a fairly challenging route for the return to Passo Giau.

🏔 Curiosities of the place

Fascinating and classic walk in one of the most panoramic areas of the Dolomites: the Nuvolau group frames it and Mount Nuvolau is the highest peak you encounter along the way. But the panoramic view around is the most surprising aspect: a 360 view of Averau, Tofane, Sorapis, Antelao. Piz Boé, Civetta and Marmolada in the distance. Can you ask for a better view?

🎯 Practical advice

Calculate the times to complete the whole tour. If you are not very trained, consider at least 4/5 hours in total. Bring water with you, there are no fountains along the route. There are shelters along the route, but with a well-filled water bottle at home, you will avoid wasting plastic bottles.
