What is done?

Each experience is designed to reconnect with nature and make new friends. Here's what we'll do in this one:

  • Learning Italian in Nature

We'll hike along Alpine trails and discover new words, guided by Rebecca, an expert teacher and language lover. Every day, we'll explore the mountains and the Italian language through authentic encounters: we'll chat with a friendly mountain hut manager, listen to the stories of a mountain guide, learn to ask questions, express wishes, and introduce ourselves. We'll do it in a circle, on foot, around a table, or under a starry sky. It will be a linguistic and sensory immersion, where nature becomes our classroom, and Italian comes to life in the heart of the Dolomites.

  • 4 nights in a refuge with half board

Every evening we will be welcomed by authentic refuges that preserve the flavor of the mountains of the past. Between the warmth of wood and the scents of Friulian cuisine, we will enjoy simple and genuine dishes, with a conviviality that warms the heart after a long day of walking. We will toast to the day just lived under starry skies and awaken the senses in the morning with the aroma of coffee and a breakfast that will give us the energy to face new horizons. Here luxury is simplicity, the essential that smells of home.

  • Guided Trekking

We will travel wild and little-traveled paths for 5 days, accompanied by an expert guide who will reveal the secrets of the Friulian Dolomites. We will cross hidden valleys and majestic passes, touching the groups of Pramaggiore, Monfalconi, Spalti di Toro and Cridola. Each day will be a journey between dolomite walls that are colored at dawn and fiery sunsets that close our efforts. We will walk immersed in a regenerating silence, far from mass tourism, rediscovering the value of sharing and an authentic contact with the mountain.

Day 1

Meeting and heading towards the Giaf Refuge

+ 400m | - 0m | 1h30 | 2 km

Topics of the dayNature vocabulary, introductions, small talk, asking for help, directions, and survival in Italian.
Linguistic focus: Listening comprehension, basic conversation, building confidence and connection.

We'll meet in the parking lot at the foot of the Friulian Dolomites, pack our backpacks together, and finalize the trek's final details. Then we'll take the trail that, through fir forests and rocky views, will lead us to the Giaf Refuge. At sunset, we'll gather around the bonfire with Alessandro and Marco, the refuge keepers: we'll toast, share mountain stories, and let the scent of burning larches linger.

Day 2

Between valleys and drop-offs: towards the Padova Refuge

+ 600m | - 700m | 4h30 | 6 km

Topics of the dayDescribing nature, talking about the surrounding environment, ordering food at the shelter.
Linguistic focus: Adjectives to describe landscapes, weather, and polite requests in local context.

We'll kick off our great adventure with a relaxed pace, perfect for warming up and getting to know each other step by step. We'll climb slowly along a gently sloping trail, leaving the everyday world behind.

We'll reach the scenic Forcella Scodavacca pass, where we'll take a moment to breathe deeply and gaze into the distance. From there, we'll begin the descent, immersed in a dense, silent forest, which will accompany us to the Rifugio Padova, our first landing point, where a warm dinner, new friends, and the excitement of the beginning await us.

Day 3

+ 1000m | - 1100m | 6-7h | 7 km

We'll climb steadily to the Forcella Montanaia pass, where the famous Campanile di Val Montanaia—the "stone cry" of the Friulian Dolomites—will greet us in all its splendor. From above, we'll see the small Bivacco Perugini, red as a flower at the foot of the tower. After a few photos and a sigh of wonder, we'll descend to the Rifugio Pordenone, ready to share the thrill of this Alpine icon.

Day 4

+ 1100m | - 800m | 6-7h | 11km

We'll set off again through clearings and pine forests toward the scree slopes at the foot of Mount Pramaggiore. We'll cross four closely spaced passes, a succession of ups and downs that will give us magnificent views of Alpine peaks and meadows. Once we reach the Suola Pass, we'll descend into the Suola Valley to the Flaiban-Pacherini Refuge. It will be our last night together: we'll celebrate the friendship and strength of the group with a dinner of Friulian flavors and a toast under the stars.

Day 5

+ 1000m | - 1000m | 6-7h | 10km

We'll immediately tackle the steep climb to the Forcella dell'Inferno (Hell's Pass): despite its name, we'll discover an enchanted place. From here, we'll take the legendary Troi da Sclops, the gentian trail, which winds between majestic rock faces, rocky balconies, and flower-filled valleys. After the final pass, we'll return to the Giaf Refuge. We'll celebrate the end of our adventure with a collective toast, taking home the heartbeat of the Friulian Dolomites.

Meet the Team ✌🏼

Hi, I'm Rebecca 👋
Teaching is not filling a bucket, but lighting a fire.”

This quote has been with me since I started teaching. With a background in education and years of teaching experience, I've always believed that the best learning happens not in the classroom, but in the world.

It’s not a course, and it’s not a tour. It’s a shared adventure.
