🤩 What are we doing?

Classic but challenging ski mountaineering route under the imposing walls of Mount Pelmo. From the path that goes up towards the Rifugio Città di Fiume, exit to the right, tackling the steep scree slopes north of Pelmo. Climb in a zigzag for about 500m of altitude, arriving at Val d'Arcia and heading, crossing steep slopes, towards the obvious Forcella at the end of the valley. Descent along the same route as the ascent.
We are at Passo Staulanza, in a wonderful environment in front of Mount Pelmo. From Forcella Val d'Arcia you can enjoy a breathtaking view that repays all the effort.
The area is very popular, also thanks to the nearby Rifugio Città di Fiume which is also open in winter.
We recommend leaving early to easily find parking. ARTVA, shovel and probe are mandatory.
