Tough hike with significant elevation gain and altitude reached that requires mountaineering experience for progression on the glacier (rope tying in and use of ice axe and crampons). Furthermore, climbing the via ferrata Cresta Ovest the itinerary becomes even tougher.

🏔 Curiosities of the place

The Marmolada is known by all as the Queen of the Dolomites: with its 3,343 meters it is the highest peak in the Dolomites.
Its glacier tells the story of the Great War with the Marmolada Museum (the highest in Europe) located near the Serauta cable car (2,950 m).

🎯 Practical advice

Carry out only in excellent weather conditions, with the possible possibility of dividing the itinerary by stopping (after prior telephone contact) at the Capanna Punta Penìa located at the highest point of the Dolomites.
