Dolomites Ski Safari

A ski safari is a ski week that moves with you. Instead of returning to the same hotel every evening, you ski from one valley to the next — Val Gardena, Alta Badia, Arabba and the Marmolada glacier, Cortina d’Ampezzo, Val di Fassa, the Brenta Dolomites — and each night a hand-picked hotel or a mountain rifugio is waiting, with your luggage already in the room. Dolomist curates a small collection of Dolomites ski safaris, built with our trusted partner team in Trentino and written up with the same care we give every Dolomist trip.

Every itinerary comes self-guided, with hotels and huts booked, Dolomiti Superski or Superskirama pass, daily luggage transfers and round-the-clock support, or privately guided, with an English-speaking ski guide dedicated to you and your group all week. Trips run 7 to 8 days with 5 or 6 days on skis:

• The classics — the Dolomiti Grand Tour through the Sellaronda, Marmolada, Civetta and Cortina, and the Cinque Torri to Val Gardena traverse for explorers.
• Ski-in ski-out — the quietest corners of Dolomiti Superski, every night in a hut or hotel you reach with your skis on.
• Gourmet — the Gourmet Peaks Ski Safari, two Michelin-starred dinners and a sommelier-led wine day between the rifugi of Alta Badia.
• Slow pace — Easy Flow between Alta Badia and Val Gardena, boutique hotels and panoramic groomers without the rush.
• Brenta Dolomites — Madonna di Campiglio, Passo Tonale and the Presena glacier, Pejo 3000: the Superskirama pass in the western Dolomites.

The season runs January through late March, when snow is most reliable and the pistes are at their best. Ski safaris suit intermediate to advanced skiers, couples, groups of friends and families with teenagers already confident on red (blue-to-black, in US terms) runs. Fly into Venice, Innsbruck, Verona or Milan; we handle the rest.
