With this beautiful trek, a real hiking raid, in 5 days we will visit the 4 refuges of the Friulian Dolomites Park, crossing the beautiful and wild valleys of the Pramaggiore, Monfalconi, Spalti di Toro and Cridola groups at high altitude. We will walk on challenging trails surrounded by the wild beauty of the Dolomites, meeting few other hikers during the days. During the trek you will see breathtaking landscapes, meet new people and discover the history of these wild places thanks to Elisa, Explorer Dolomist.
-
⛺️ Refuge Experiences
Along the way we will discover the Pordenone, Pacherini, Giaf and Padua refuges, every evening to welcome us we will find a refuge like those of the past: no spa or double rooms, but lots of kindness, warmth and good food, what you need to rest after a day of walking.
-
🎒 Masterclass discovering Nature
Elisa will guide us to discover the local flora and fauna, also sharing with us some strategies to best enjoy a trekking experience in a wild environment.
Discover the program.
Day 1
The first day of this great adventure will be dedicated to travel, for those coming from far away, to preparation and making first acquaintances! We will meet at 4pm a little above Cimolais, near Ponte Compol.
Here we will have the first chat about the trek that awaits us, and we will check the backpacks, to make sure that nothing is missing and above all that they are not too heavy! We will leave some cars there, and with as few cars as possible we will go up the Val Cimoliana to the car parks of the Pordenone Refuge. From here we will already have the first wonderful views of this valley. In a few minutes we will go up to the refuge, where we can settle into the rooms, and enjoy an early afternoon of chatting, rest and views.
Guests of Marica and Ivan, we will discover local dishes and toast the beginning of our adventure!
Day 2
+ 1100m | - 800m | 6-7h | 11km
It's finally time to start our journey! On the first day we will immerse ourselves in the beautiful scenery of the Friulian Dolomites, among spiers, alpine meadows, and light rocks. The climb is gentle but constant, and without a moment's respite it takes us slowly towards the first saddle. We will pass from the woods to the high altitude prairies, to end up on the scree at the foot of Pramaggiore. Today we will have to cross 4 forks, but don't worry, they are very close! The stretch between one and the other tests the nerves a bit, but with a little attention we will reach the Suola pass, and then descend the other side. At the bottom of Val Suola the Flaiban-Pacherini refuge awaits us, where we can relax and spend the evening in company.
Day 3
+ 1000m | - 1000m | 6-7h | 10km
The second day of trekking will be very different from the first. No big climb followed by a long descent, but lots of ups and downs to cross 4 saddles! In the morning we will start immediately with a steep climb towards the Forcella dell'Inferno, which, despite its name, is a wonderful place! From here we will begin the Troi da Sclops, or the path of the gentianelle, which in a continuous succession of majestic environments and exciting views, will lead us to the Giaf refuge.
Day 4
+ 1000m | - 1100m | 6-7h | 7 km
Another exciting day awaits us, with the spectacular crossing of two high forks, the Monfalcon fork of Forni and the fork of Las Busas, passing that magical rocky amphitheater in which the red metal structure of the Marchi bivouac stands in total solitude. Granzotto. Once again a challenging route, with a dizzying descent on scree. The night at the Padova refuge will be the last together, all the more reason to celebrate!
Day 5
+ 1100m | - 1100m | 6-7h | 7 km
Last stage of this exciting ring! A long climb will take us to Forcella Montanaia, and from here we will finally see the most famous place in the Friulian Dolomites, the cry of stone, the beautiful Bell Tower of Val Montanaia! At his feet the red can of the Perugini bivouac, looking at it from the top of the fork it looks like a flower that has grown at the foot of the large rock. Here we will certainly meet a lot of people, after days of solitude it will seem a bit strange. The descent into the valley will take us back to the Pordenone refuge and our cars. Before saying goodbye we will all celebrate together, beer or ice cream?!

Meet the Team ✌🏼
Hi, I'm Elisa, an Explorer Dolomist. ✌🏼
I soon realized that my place was no longer in Padua, but among the white rocks of the Dolomites. I transformed my passion for nature after a long walking trip through the Alps.
I accompany people in the mountains and I dedicate myself to helping them discover the beauty of the paths and panoramas of the Dolomites, transforming every walk into a unique and unforgettable experience.
