🤩 What are we doing?

Pleasant walk to the Vajolet Refuge, from there the climb begins to become more challenging both in terms of altitude difference and the need for good training and a steady foot. Going up the wide gully there are some handrails equipped to facilitate progression.

🏔 Curiosities of the place

We are in the heart of the Catinaccio, here the Vajolet Towers stand out in a set of seven dolomite pinnacles. A legend says that in the “basin” of the Catinaccio, there was the “rose garden of King Laurin”. This is why in German the Catinaccio is called Rosengarten, that is, the Rose Garden.

🎯 Practical advice

Very popular route especially in summer, strongly discouraged in winter in the part that goes from the Vajolet Refuge to the Re Alberto Refuge due to high avalanche risk.
